Swizz Beatz Stuns Jadakiss With Iced-Out Ruff Ryders Chain: 'I Need Something Similar'

Swizz Beatz has left Jadakiss feeling rather envious after flexing his brand new iced-out Ruff Ryders chain.

The shimmering, diamond-encrusted piece was designed by celebrity jeweler Elliot Eliantte, who posted a video on Instagram on Thursday (September 12) offering his followers a close-up.

The clip was soundtracked by DMX‘s legendary track “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem,” with Eliantte writing in the caption: “The Legendary DoubleR [three diamond emojis] Made For @therealswizzz [three fire emojis, shocked face emoji] #ShouldaWentToElliot.”

The jewelry certainly caught the eye of Jada, who jumped into the comments section and left several fire emojis before adding: “@therealswizzz i need something similar lol.”

Swizz, who is celebrating his 46th birthday, also showed off the chain on his Instagram Stories and revealed it was a gift to himself.

“I had to 2025 the RR piece for my bday [prayer hands emoji] thx @eliantte all pointers if you know you know [sighing face emoji],” he wrote.

While Jadakiss plots on his own Ruff Ryders chain from Eliantte, Swizz Beatz appears to have been planning his next Verzuz battle following his legendary performance in The LOX’s victory over Dipset in 2021.

Last year, the superproducer proposed putting the Yonkers rap legend in the ring against numerous opponents at once, breaking the traditional 1 vs. 1 format.

What’s more, Swizz even suggested the battle should be based on freestyles instead of “hit songs.”

“You know what I wanna see? I wanna see everybody versus Jadakiss,” he told fellow Verzuz co-founder Timbaland last year. “Beanie Sigel, Pusha [T]… everybody to the breakbeats. No hit songs, all freestyles. Zah! Survival of the spittist.”

While it remains to be seen whether such a battle will take shape, Swizz Beatz and Timbo struck a distribution deal with Elon Musk’s X (formerly Twitter) in June to bring the popular battle series to the social media platform.

“We are beyond thrilled to have found the best partner for Verzuz,” Swizz said in a statement. “Not only are we excited to have Verzuz on X, we’re excited to help X build the biggest entertainment company in the world.

“I would like to thank Elon Musk, Linda Yaccarino, Brett Weitz, Mitchell Smith and the entire X team for believing in the Verzuz vision. We can’t wait to get to work.”

Timbaland added: “We are thrilled to partner with X, the most innovative platform globally. Our goal has always been to bring Verzuz to the world which we can now do bigger than ever.”

Verzuz has been on hold since July 2022 due to a since-resolved legal dispute between Swizz and Timbo and former partners Triller. New shows have yet to be announced, although both producers have hinted that a third season is around the corner.
