My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way seems to have formed a new band called The Mock-Ups.

The 48-year-old musician is credited with vocals and bass on a project listed as “coming soon” under the title I Wanna Know Your Name.

The lineup also features Aimee Allen, Kevin Bivona, and Jesse Bivona from The Interrupters, along with Michael Schulz.

On Instagram, The Mock-Ups shared lyrics with the caption: “The Mock-Ups: I Wanna Know Your Name. Coming soon.

“Vocals/Bass: @gerardway Guitar: @mschulz83 Keys/Production: @kevinsweatshop Drums: @jessebivona Backing Vocals: @aimeeinterrupter Engineering: Doug McKean.”

This new project arrives shortly after My Chemical Romance sold out two massive shows at London’s Wembley Stadium.

The band will perform at the venue on July 10 and 11, 2026, marking their first UK appearances since 2022.

These concerts are part of the Long Live The Black Parade stadium tour, which celebrates 20 years of their iconic 2006 album The Black Parade.

Hints about UK dates first appeared in a cryptic promotional clip.

The video introduced a fake game show called Quizzo, with the host announcing: “Our two fine contestants will help us learn who will be the next lucky country to win the grand prize of one nuclear winter.”

Fans quickly picked up on the announcement that followed: “Congratulations, United Kingdom!”

The band captioned the post: “Let’s show them what they’ve won.”

In addition to performing the album in its entirety, the Helena hitmakers have also been playing the unreleased track War Beneath The Rain.

The tour has featured major supporting acts such as 100 Gecs, Wallows, Garbage, Death Cab for Cutie, Thursday, Alice Cooper, Pixies, Devo, IDLES, and Evanescence.

Support acts for the Wembley shows have not yet been revealed.

Back in 2022, MCR performed across the UK in Milton Keynes, Glasgow, Cardiff, Warrington, and at Cornwall’s Eden Project.
