California officials have confirmed the identity of the teenage girl whose body was discovered in the trunk of a Tesla registered to singer D4vd.
The victim, Celeste Rivas, who would now be 15 years old, disappeared from Lake Elsinore, California, in 2024 when she was just 13.
Her mutilated remains were found last week inside the trunk of a Tesla sedan located in an impound lot in the Hollywood Hills.
The vehicle was registered to 20-year-old artist D4vd, whose full legal name is David Anthony Burke.
According to TMZ, the girl had a tattoo on her right index finger that read “Shhh…,” which resembles one that D4vd also has. The outlet noted that other celebrities, including Rihanna and Lindsay Lohan, have the same tattoo. Celeste’s mother added that her daughter once had a boyfriend named David.
Unverified photos that appear to show Celeste with the singer have been circulating on social media.
When found, the teenager was dressed in a tube top with black leggings and a yellow bracelet, along with metal stud earrings.
Her body had been wrapped in plastic and was severely decomposed. Authorities were first alerted after a foul smell began coming from the car.
A spokesperson for D4vd told NBC 4 that the musician has been “cooperating with authorities.”
So far, no arrests have been made in connection with the case.
In the meantime, D4vd has been dropped from promotional campaigns by Crocs and Hollister, just days after he was announced as the face of their Dream Drop collaboration.
At the time of reporting, tickets for D4vd’s Withered 2025 World Tour remain available.
