Keke Palmer Criticized As “Pick Me” Following Stream With Blueface

To say that Keke Palmer has rubbed some fans the wrong way this week would not be an exaggeration. The singer, actress, and podcast host recently became the subject of online chatter after joining Blueface for a livestream that quickly caught people’s attention. On Sunday, December 21, Palmer stopped by his home to spend time together and work on music.

Whether that collaboration ever sees the light of day remains to be seen.

What really set social media buzzing, though, was what unfolded during the stream. Many have already seen the clip that spread quickly showing Blueface and Keke doing squats together. In the video, he repeatedly tells her and two other women to go lower, making his intentions fairly obvious.

That playful energy carried over into a Pilates segment as well.

It was not one sided either. Palmer did not push back when Blueface made flirtatious remarks in the clips that circulated online.

As noted by Bossip, the 32 year old could be seen smiling, laughing, and blushing in response to his advances.

During the recording portion of the livestream, Keke even referred to the engineer as “boo,” which Blueface jokingly took issue with.

“I’m your boo,” he said, which visibly amused her. He followed up by adding, “Don’t call nobody else boo but me, all right? This the engineer, you call him engineer… I’m boo.”

Keke smiled through the exchange. Later on, when the Nope star asked how Blueface had been doing since getting out last month, he leaned further into the moment.

“When I got out, I was doing all right. Then you walked in, everything’s looking bright, babe… My future looking bright,” he said.

Palmer seemed to take it in stride, responding playfully and calling him fake while telling him he plays too much.

Her willingness to entertain the banter has left parts of her fanbase frustrated, with some critics labeling her a “pick me.”

A handful of those reactions can be found circulating across social media.

That backlash is not entirely unexpected, given Blueface’s well known history when it comes to relationships. He has often made headlines for messy breakups and prolonged, turbulent situations that play out in public.

He briefly dated reality star Hazel E before things fizzled out after a matter of weeks. Most people are also familiar with his long running drama involving Jaidyn Alexis and Chrisean Rock. More recently, he has been linked to a 24 year old social media influencer named Nevaeh Akira.

If his flirtation with Keke was genuine, though, that situation could be over just as quickly as it began.
