Harry Styles has returned to the top of the UK charts with Aperture, earning his third Official Number 1 single.

The track serves as the lead release from his forthcoming fourth solo studio album KISS ALL THE TIME. DISCO, OCCASIONALLY., which is scheduled for release on March 6.

The chart success arrives as the global star continues to rewrite the record books with his upcoming Together, Together Tour. Harry’s 12 date residency at London’s Wembley Stadium presented by EE will overtake Coldplay’s previous 10 show run. He will also set a new Wembley record for the most concerts performed by a solo artist during a single stretch at the venue, surpassing Taylor Swift’s eight shows in 2024. Fans can also catch Harry debuting new material at The BRIT Awards 2026 with Mastercard on Saturday, February 28.

As if that was not enough Harry Styles for one week, his former Number 1 hit As It Was makes a return to the Top 40 for the first time since 2024, landing at Number 28.

This means the first ever solo One Direction chart double has now been achieved, following Louis Tomlinson reaching the top of the Official Albums Chart with How Did I Get Here?.

Reacting to the milestone, Martin Talbot, Chief Executive Officer of Official Charts, said:

“It’s precisely 15 years this year since One Direction topped the Official Singles Chart for the first time with What Makes You Beautiful and, after Robbie Williams last week demonstrated how enduring our pop group members turned solo stars can be, it is fantastic to see Harry and Louis topping the Official Charts again this week. A reminder if we ever needed one of the timeless appeal of arguably the world’s favourite 21st Century boy band.”

As a group, One Direction previously achieved the rare Official Chart Double in November 2012, when Little Things topped the Singles Chart while Take Me Home claimed the Albums Chart.

With growing chatter around 2026 being labelled the new 2016, Zara Larsson’s latest single Midnight Sun enjoys renewed momentum, climbing three places to a new peak at Number 26.

Arctic Monkeys score their 19th Top 40 hit with Opening Night at Number 16. The track appears on the upcoming War Child Records compilation HELP(2), due for release on March 6, and marks the Sheffield band’s highest charting single in 13 years since Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High? in 2013.

Lil Uzi Vert released What You Saying back in December, and the song now claims the title of this week’s highest climber, jumping 14 places to reach Number 27 after gaining traction online.

Meanwhile, after re entering the Official Singles Chart Top 40 for the first time in more than 20 years last week, The Cure’s Boys Don’t Cry continues its rise, moving up three spots to Number 36.
