BLACKPINK teams up with Zayn Malik on new song Eyes Closed

Jisoo has confirmed that Zayn Malik will join her on her upcoming duet Eyes Closed.

The BLACKPINK singer, 30, had sparked speculation about a collaboration with the former One Direction member after posting a teaser image for the single that showed the silhouette of an unidentified artist.

Jisoo captioned the mysterious photo, “A duet is near.”

Eagle-eyed fans quickly searched the song online and noticed it was listed under both Jisoo and Zayn Malik’s names.

Zayn had also hinted not long ago that he had a collaboration in the works with a “cool” artist.

During a livestream, he teased, “I’ve got some new music coming out soon with another cool collaborator. That is coming out first. We’ve got some big things lined up. I think next year is going to be a big year.”

Now, Jisoo has shared another teaser image, this time clearly showing the back of Zayn’s head, with his signature tattoo confirming his identity.

She captioned the new post, “Two voices, one orbit. Coming soon.”

Eyes Closed marks Jisoo’s first release since her debut mini-album, Amortage, which arrived in February.

As for Zayn, the 32-year-old artist recently revealed that his next album draws heavily from Indian musical influences.

The Pillowtalk singer shared that his fifth studio album is due next year and will echo the sound of his 2016 debut Mind of Mine.

Speaking during the livestream, Zayn said, “The next album is soon. I’ve been working on some cool s*** in South Asian music and blending those influences into my sound. It’s like pop, R&B, and a lot of Indian influences. The record continues the vibe of Mind of Mine. I might even have a few songs in Urdu, too.”
