Following the release of her singles “Yes, Baby” and “Bittersweet,” Madison Beer has officially confirmed that her upcoming album Locket will arrive in January 2026.
The singer reunited with longtime collaborators One Love, LOSTBOY, and Leroy Clampitt for the project, which also sees Beer stepping into the role of co-producer. In a statement shared through a press release, she explained that the album’s title came to her early in the creative process. She described it as “a mosaic of past memories and experiences” that she pieced together while shaping its pop-driven sound.
“After writing the album it feels like each song lives within this metaphorical locket for safe keeping,” Beer said in a statement. “Each album feels like an era and once the albums are out in the world the chapter for me, usually with what I wrote about, is closed.”
Ahead of the album’s January 16 release, Beer has shared the new music video for “Bittersweet.” She co-wrote and co-directed the visual with Iris Kim, and it stars The Summer I Turned Pretty actor Sean Kaufman.
She also recently performed the two singles from Locket during her set at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, giving fans a first taste of the new era.
Beer’s last full-length project, Silence Between Songs, was released in 2023. Earlier this year, after earning her first Grammy nomination, she spoke with Rolling Stone about her next steps.
“The next thing coming out will definitely be a full-length album. I was going to do an EP a year ago,” Beer said. “I was talking about potentially doing that, but shit just got so crazy that I didn’t have time to, and then I just went into full album mode. So it’ll probably take a bit longer, but those songs will be on the album and it will hopefully be out somewhat soon. I’m in the studio every single day.”
